I made this piece as a reaction to the idea of invasion of privacy through reading someone’s journal without permission. I started by making watercolor backgrounds collaged with home grown and pressed pansies. Then I used the cards to write out all of the secrets I’ve ever had or known about in my life. I made the words private by re-writing more secrets over each line, and then repeated that process again until I couldn’t decipher what I had written.
